Villa Ledermann
House · by Robert Anxionnat · 1966
42 rue Sébastien-Keller, Lunéville, France
In 1964, Samuel and Danielle Ledermann commissioned architect Robert Anxionnat to design a house in Lunéville, with construction completed in 1966. Anxionnat, known for his functionalist approach, contributed to the renewal of individual housing during the post-war boom known as the Trente Glorieuses. His work reflects a broader movement among Lorraine architects, such as Dominique-Alexandre Louis and André Wogenscky. Between 1954 and 1975, Anxionnat designed around twenty homes, embodying the principle of total architecture, a concept rooted in the Art Nouveau idea of "art in everything," encompassing both furniture and interior decor.
