4 rue Charles-Contejean, Montbéliard, France
The outdoor swimming pool was commissioned by the city of Montbéliard in 1962, as part of the development of the Petite-Hollande ZUP area. Architect Jacques Mattern designed the facility to be integrated into a landscaped park on a hillside. The pools are located at the lower part of the site, with rest areas on the slope. The entrance is situated at the top, where the architect grouped various buildings to maximize green spaces around the pools. Changing rooms, lifeguard facilities, and a snack bar are strategically placed amongst the trees, creating a transition from the park to the urban environment.
