Groupe scolaire Jordi-Barre et crèche
Education · by Bertrand Ramond, Bernard Cabanne · 2006
rue des Remparts-Saint-Mathieu ; 1 rue Jean-de-Gazanyola, Perpignan, France
The Jordi-Barre school complex is located in the historical center of Perpignan, between the Palace of the Kings of Majorca and Place Arago. It occupies a site previously comprising old barracks that have been demolished and replaced by a parking lot. This new facility aims to revitalize the neighborhood, which is experiencing socioeconomic decline, and addresses the anticipated increase in the number of children due to numerous housing developments in the Saint-Matthieu area. Architects Bertrand Ramond and Bernard Cabane have collaborated on several projects, including the Jean-Rous College and IAE in Perpignan.
