Maison dite maison paquebot

House · by Perret André Debeauvais, Joseph Marais · 1929

83 rue Thiers, Bernay, France

In 1930, Henri Constant Terrier, a food merchant based on rue Thiers in Bernay, commissioned the architectural firm Perrée, Legrand, and Sallou from Arras to design a house on a narrow plot facing his stores. The project was overseen by André Perrée, the architect who was also Terrier's son-in-law and originally from Normandy. With his associates, Perrée had been involved in various reconstruction projects in Arras. The construction, executed by masonry contractor Joseph Marais from Beaumont-le-Roger and supported by engineer Debeauvais, took place between autumn 1930 and spring 1931.
